The Axe Is Put Away (for now).

Okay, Fast Yuji is cleared to drive at Imola. No guarantees past that, though.

I hope Yuji has his resume up to date. Okay, it's cruel to joke about, but lets face it, he really shouldn't be on the track. His brutal stuffing of Barrichello during quals a few weeks back was pretty shameful, and completely avoidable.

The Spectre of Zsolt hovers over him...

1 What is interesting now is how many drivers could step up to take his place, seeing as you have both GP2 and now also A1GP where would be F1 drivers can hawk their wares so to speak. I saw Jos Verstaapen being mentioned yesterday, given his last showing in A1GP where amongst other things, he got himself a speeding penalty whilst pitting for a speeding penalty, and finished his season halfway through the race swearing at a senior team member and a cameraman, he may not be first choice.

Also speaking of A1GP, recent graduate Scott Speed can be heard in a recent interview here talking about the start to his season. It is a bit stiff at first, and then about halfway through he is clearly giving a much less formal interview, talking about his recent amusing arguement with DC etc. Well worth a download (as is the normal podcast on the site).

2 Two words about a new driver for SuperFriends:

Sebastien. Bourdais.

He's not Japanese, but he's definitely talented, and looking for an F1 ride.
