Fishing at Monaco

DAD!  I GOT A BITE!!!

Well, that's something you don't see every day...

UPDATE:  Steven asks why they're using cranes to carry the cars away.  I try to explain in the comments, but I'm not sure I did the best job in the world.  Here's a view of the accident area:

Not the most accessible location on the track, and without pulling the armco down, a truck is out of the question.

Good question, Steven!

1 Why are they moving those things with cranes? What's wrong with a truck trailer?

2 They're using the cranes to get the cars off the track, Steven.  Narrow streets + armco barriers = impossible to get to.

They generally use things like front-end loaders to lift cars out of gravel traps at tracks like the Nurburgring Jr, but there's no way to get one of those onto the streets of Monaco without completely blocking the track for a long period of time.

So: crane the car off the track, THEN deal with it.

3 I misunderstood the timing. I was assuming they were loading up the day after the race. The picture was actually taken during the race, and in that case it makes sense.

4 I would like to thank the FIA World Feed Director for turning on Rosberg's On-Board camera while it was being lifted off the track, quite a view!
