Improvements to the track have no chance of being completed on time, due to the failure of the race organizers' corporation shortly after last year's race. So, as a result, the track won't be in race shape, and therefore no race.
Which I think is a major-league bummer. Like, fer sure! *rolls eyes* Seriously, Spa-Francoswimteam is a great race, and while I'm sure the teams would like the week off, I know they all love the track, too. It's a pity, but there's really only one person to blame.
Darth Bernie. He frickin' CHARGES tracks to allow F1 to race there, and he charges a LOT. It's threatened Silverstone in the past, it threatened Hockenheim earlier, and now it's claimed one of the classics.
