This happened at Sunday's Formula 2 race in Marrakech. Ricardo Teixeira said after the awe-inspiring accident:
Yup, quote of the year candidate there. I don't think I've ever seen a car get quite so airborne as this one. He clears three cars AND nails an overhead sign in the process, yet was almost completely uninjured. His neck and one of his shoulders are "a little sore," as he put it. Bloody lucky, he was.
All I've gotta say is DO A BARREL ROLL!
I just hit the back of his gearbox and went straight up. At
first all I was thinking was how I was angry at him, then I realised I
was up in the air and turning and I looked down and thought 'I can see
all the cars down there!'

Yeah, "DO A BARREL ROLL!" was my thought, too.

For about a second (if you ignore the shiny, flying bits), I thought he was going to pull out of it, which would have been a hell of a move. Although I imagine that passing from above would be a problem that had to be dealt with no matter what.
And he wasn't very badly injured, which is just inconceivable. At the very least, he lost a few years of life from pure terror. Not to mention the drivers who saw the car fly (almost) majestically over them.

Okay, that was awesome. And, I'm sure, terrifying for several people involved. Wow.
