Figma #2: Wait, Is That...?

You know what this is, right?

Yep, it's a kickass scarf.  Or, more correctly, it's THE kickass scarf.  Some of you have sat up in your chair, eyes wide, knowing what's about to come.  The rest of you are probably a little confused, and I don't blame you.  Fret not, dear reader, all will be revealed in mere moments.  Just click "more", and let the emotions wash over you.  G'wan, do it.  You know you want to.  Everybody else is doin' it... you don't want to be the only weirdo, do ya?

You're here!  Good.  I saw this figma for sale, and I knew two things.  One, I had to own it, and two, the first picture I took had to be this:

Yep.  Oh yes, if this is the picture, then it must be Vividred Operation.  If it's Vividred Operation, and there's a kickass scarf involved, that can only mean one thing... Hot Dark Girl Rei!

A heavily armed Hot Dark Girl Rei, I might add!  No trigger discipline, but oh well, nobody's perfect.  We see her with the MP-5 in Ep05, as she assaults the Phlebotinum Engine using conventional means.  I don't remember her with the pistol, but I'm hardly infallible.  Heck, I misspelled "infallible" just a second ago.

Oh, my.  I'll tell you, it was a royal pain in the arse getting her into a halfway legitimate archery pose... figma arms just don't bend the right way to "hold an arrow"!  Human shoulder sockets and flexible elbow joints for the win!  I only just noticed that The Kickass Scarf is levitating in this picture... oh well.  This is me really not caring very much, I'm really quite pleased with the way the pictures turned out.

So there are two more figma (figmas?  figmae?) sitting here on my desk, waiting for their particular moments in the sun... any guesses?  There's only 211 released, plus specials!

1 You, apparently, have the patience I lack for posing figmas.  I have a few, but don't generally display them.

I'm 99% sure you have the Shimakaze figma.

2 Not as creepy as dolfies.

3 I'm 99% sure you have the Shimakaze figma.

Which one?  The one that won't be released until May, or the nenendroid that comes out in August?

4 won't be released until May

On the one hand, I never trust Japanese release dates.

On the other hand, I had completely overlooked that little smidgen of information.

On the third hand, I have not seen Rensouhou-chan sold seperately, so I logically concluded, as Sherlock Holmes would have, that you must have traveled through time and space to acquire this figure.

5 While I do have some limited time-travel ability, I generally use it for the super-important things that will occur.  Figma releases don't really count... though if they did, I'd go for the Akagi release in August.

Oh, and avoid the state of Maine in August of 2027.

6 Jeez, I didn't even mention... Turret-kun is actually a cellphone charm, not a figma or anything like that.  That's why I was able to obtain it seperately.

7 That is an ACTION! pose so it is natural for the scarf to be moving as she draws to fire. Awesome posing for such limited articulation.

8 Do you have Kamui Kobayashi?

9 I don't, I'm afraid.
